Honoring Russian Heritage, Building Community
The Russian Cultural Garden of Cleveland is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating Russian heritage, art, and cultural influence in America. As part of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens, we preserve and showcase the rich contributions of Russian writers, scientists, musicians, and artists to world history.
Our mission is to create a space where history and culture come to life—free from political, military, or religious affiliations—allowing visitors to appreciate the beauty and impact of Russian culture in a peaceful, inclusive environment.
Our Journey
For many years, the Russian-American community of Cleveland dreamed of establishing a cultural garden to reflect Russia’s deep artistic and intellectual legacy. That vision became a reality in 2011 when plans for the Russian Cultural Garden were set into motion.
After securing 0.7 acres of land in Rockefeller Park, the garden was officially dedicated on September 8, 2018. Since then, we have continued to develop and enhance the space, with the installation of the Yury Gagarin statue and the creation of the Walk of Fame of Russian Culture.
