Who We Are

The Russian Cultural Gardens is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to promoting the Russian Heritage and Russian cultural influence in America. Established in 2011, The Russian Cultural Gardens non-profit organization has a prominent goal of developing the Russian Cultural Garden as a part of the Cultural Gardens of Cleveland in the Rockefeller Park. Russian Cultural Garden has been dedicated in September of 2018. Walk of Fame of the Russian Culture has been started in 2018, the bust of Yury Gagarin has been installed and dedicated in 2019.

The Russian Cultural Garden is situated on the Western side of Martin Luther King Boulevard, North of Saint Clair Ave., South of I-90, right between MLK and Doan Brook. Beautiful stone bridge over the brook defines the Southern border of our park.

About the Cleveland Cultural Gardens

Cleveland Cultural Gardens is the unique phenomenon not only in America but also in the world. We celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the Cultural Gardens in 2016!

The first cultural garden, a Shakespeare Garden, has begun in 1916. The majority of the gardens were built in the 1920s and 1930s with money and labor from the WPA as well as the local ethnic communities. By 1939, there were 18 gardens.

Today, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens include fountains, decorative ironwork, and over 60 sculptures. The 30+ different cultural gardens include British, Chinese, Czech, Estonian, Latvian, Armenian,  German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Irish, Italian, Polish, and Slovenian gardens, among others. Among the newest gardens there are the Syrian  garden, begun in May  of 2011, and Albanian garden, begun in 2012.

Russian Garden, dedicated in September, 2018, already started cultural tradition -Maslenitsa, Russian pancake Festival that take place in the Rockefeller Park Greenhouse every year in early Spring. 

Another cultural event started by the Russian Garden in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Garden and with the partners from Russia, Italy, United Kingdom and Greece is the Stars of Summer International Music Competition and Festival. 

You may walk through the Gardens, using self-guided tour or you may order a tour via the Federation of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens .

To order the Russian-speaking guided tour over the Gardens, please e-mail us at Board@RussianGarden.org. Groups of 5+ people are welcome!

Members of the Friends of the Russian Cultural garden Club are entitled for free tour and 2 tickets for any of Russian Garden's events. Membership is $25/ year. You may pay via https://secure.qgiv.com/for/trcg/ or at any event.

The 4th Annual Stars of Summer International Music Competition in the Cultural Gardens

The Russian Cultural Garden in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Garden, the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and with the partners from Great Briatin and New York, NY congratulate the young vocalists and pianists who are taking part in the 4th Annual the Stars of Summer International Music Competition in the Cultural Gardens.

Gala event will be traditionally hosted on the main stage at the Centennial Plaza of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens on Saturday, August 19, 2023. The event is free, it starts at 6 pm. Parking is free, too. 

Gala concert of the winners of the Stars of Summer Piano and Vocal Competition became a beautiful tradition. This year, it will feature the Snowbelt Symphony that will perform The Miniature Concerto by A. Rowley and The Italian Concerto by A. Peskanov with the young pianists, the winners in the Concerto category. The Chair of the panel of judges, composer Aleksandr Peskanov will greet the guests and participants and will perform on the stage! Gran Prix winner will be announced  at the Gala.

The Laureates' concert  will take place on the lower level of the  magnificent Italian Cultural Garden during One World Day Celebration on Sunday, August 27 between 1 and 4 pm. The Snowbelt Symphony Orchestra will perform with the winners of the Piano Concerto award. The winners and laureates of the Stars of the Summer competition will get their prizes and diplomas during the Awards ceremony. This year, we have special prizes: Ukrainian Prize, Italian Prize, MusiCats Prize.
